Halloween was a long day for Miss Piper. The events started at 3pm with a party at her school. The kids paraded around the grounds of the school, then went back to the classroom for lots of sugary treats. After school, I took Piper to a neighborhood party at the park near our house. There were probably about 200 people there. Piper was mostly interested in all of the different food. As you can see in the picture, I think her favorite thing was a cupcake with orange icing. After the party, we practically had to force her to go trick-or-treating. She (well, we) had to fight to keep her eyes open. We went to about 10 houses, then finally made it home to bed. Piper was recovering from a short bout with the stomach flu, so she was a good sport to play along with all of the day's activities.

Cutest bug I've ever seen! We thought about her a lot yesterday, especially about how much fun she'd have on Halloween--and how she'd look in her costume.

It's a toss-up between #1 and #2 for my desktop background. She really is the cutest bug I've seen!
