This evening Kris, Piper, our good friend Holly and I went for a short hike at McKinley Falls outside of Austin. The weather was wonderful and we all had a great time. The pinkish background in this picture is actually the sky. As the sun set the sky took on a purplish pink tone, it was both eery and beautiful. When I look at this picture it makes me think of the lyrics to David Bowie's song "kooks". Actually this is a song I think of quite frequently when I think of Piper, I wish I could figure out an easy way to post songs onto the blog. That's all I've got for now, I'll try to convince Kris into making a more interesting post later this evening.

Great song. She's a lucky baby being born into a family of kooks. Glad you had a nice hike (She'll make a fine boy scout).
You look like happy Kooks to me. I happy family is a thing of beauty. By the way, it looks like the vehicle is back in service.
You make a beautiful family. Though I gotta say that you guys look kooky and Piper just has this beautiful look of wonder on her face. I was thinking maybe it was the pink sky, but maybe she's amazed by her kooky parents!
Yeah,It looks like Piper loves her Kooky parents! Lucky baby, indeed XOXO
